About

My name is Shannon Kay and I am currently training to be the first person to jump rope run a half (13.1 miles) and full (26.2 miles) N.Y.C. marathon for charity.

I will be jump rope running the half marathon to support research for the multiple myeloma foundation, an incurable cancer that invades the plasma cells in the bone marrow and spreads throughout the body.  Donate by visiting  the Multiple Myeloma Foundation.

Followed by the half,  I will be jump rope running the full marathon for the Christopher Reeves Foundation; an organization dedicated to curing spinal cord injuries and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis.
